Vagit Alekperov, OAO LUKOIL President, attended a ceremony, in Vienna today, dedicated to the start of construction of a bulk-oil transshipment and storage terminal (tank battery) which will make it possible to transport bulk oil by water transport along the Danube. The new facility will be constructed as part of the Upgrade Program of the Austrian lube-manufacturing plant of OOO LLK-International (a wholly-owned subsidiary of OAO LUKOIL). Besides the tank battery, LUKOIL will construct a mooring complex. The start of construction is scheduled for February of 2015.

The LUKOIL Board of Directors held a meeting in Moscow today to summarize the preliminary results of the company performance in 2014 and set priorities for 2015 and the near term. In 2014, as a result of prospecting, 14 fields were discovered, while 38 oil deposits were identified in the exploration areas and producing fields. In 2014, the company obtained 18 new licenses for subsoil use.

The OAO LUKOIL Press Service announces that the company has sent an official letter to the Ukrainian Security Service’s Main Investigation Department laying out LUKOIL position as regards the current situation around its operations in Ukrainian territory.

For the ninth consecutive year, LUKOIL has emerged the victor in the “Filling Station” category of a survey, “Loyalty Brand 2014”, conducted in Russia by the international publishing house Reader’s Digest. Thirty-six percent of the respondents voted in favor of LUKOIL’s filling stations. The first time LUKOIL had won a “Reader’s Digest” rating was in 2006.

LUKOIL has begun supplies of cylinder oils of a new generation, LUKOIL NAVIGO 100 MCL, to MSC OSCAR, the world’s largest container ship, acquired by the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) earlier this year. The container ship is capable of holding a record number of containers, 19,224 pieces. It is equipped with fuel-saving engines operating on LUKOIL’s new oils.

LUKOIL hopes for unbiased attitude towards the situation related to the company’s activities in Ukraine. This was said by Vagit Alekperov, OAO LUKOIL President, in his mass media statement on January 22, 2015 as part of his participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos.

On January 7, 2015, ОАО LUKOIL aligned its 135-megawatt combined-cycle gas turbine (135-MW CCGT) unit in Budennovsk, Stavropol Territory , with the Russian National Unified Power Generation System. The unit has been commissioned and transmits electric power to the wholesale market of electric power and capacity.
