Monday, January 20, 2014
The LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez refinery has received column equipment to be used for the construction of its second catalytic-cracking complex.
Specifically, a basic fractionating column, absorbers and a stripping column were delivered to the refinery.
Construction of the second catalytic-cracking complex started in 2012. Its commissioning is scheduled for 2015. The complex includes a combined catalytic- cracking unit, naphtha hydrotreaters, a hydrogen-fluoride alkylation unit and also capacities for collection, storage and shipment of liquefied hydrocarbon gases.
The new catalytic-cracking complex will enable the refinery to increase the output of EURO-5-compliant high-octane automobile gasoline by 1.2 million tons per year.
The first catalytic-cracking complex with a capacity of up to 1.4 million tons of gasoline per year was commissioned in 2010.
In 2013, ООО LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez manufactured more than 3 million tons of EURO-5-compliant high-octane gasoline.
