CULTURAL AND EXHIBITION CENTRE OF RUSSIAN MUSEUM OPENS IN KOGALYM WITH LUKOIL’S SUPPORT

Kogalym (Yugra) - The cultural and exhibition centre of the Russian Museum was opened today in Kogalym with LUKOIL's support.
The first exhibition features paintings from the collection of Vasily Kokorev, a famous arts patron and entrepreneur of the 19th century. It includes about 50 paintings by Karl Brullov, Alexey Venetsianov, Vasily Tropinin and other artists. Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov, First Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Sergey Obryvalin, Governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District Natalia Komarova, and general director of the Russian Museum Vladimir Gusev took part in the official opening ceremony.
The opening of the centre precedes the construction of a branch of the Russian Museum in Kogalym.
