IRAQI SPECIALISTS CONTINUE INTERNSHIP IN LUKOIL

The second group of Iraqi experts (46 people) has arrived to Kogalym of Khanty-Mansiysky Autonomous Area for internship at LUKOIL West Siberia.
The first group that arrived in Kogalym on July 27 has completed the internship and returned home.
The Iraqi specialists internship was based on the provisions of the Memorandum of understanding and cooperation, signed on March 10, 2004 in Baghdad between LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov and Iraqi Minister of Petroleum Ibrahim Bahr Al-Ulyum. The one-month internship program provides for theoretical and practical training in various areas related to the latest exploration and petroleum production technology.
In accordance with the Memorandum, LUKOIL will provide internship for Iraqi oilmen at the Company training centers and production facilities. This year up to 100 Iraqi specialists will go for training at LUKOIL facilities. During the next five years up to 150 Iraqis will be sent for training annually.
