LARGEST CENTRE FOR CORE AND RESERVOIR FLUIDS RESEARCH OPENS IN PERM

The grand opening of the Centre for Core and Reservoir Fluids Research, constructed by LUKOIL, took place today in the city of Perm. It is one of the Company's priority projects in the region.
The new Centre, which is a part of LUKOIL-Engineering LLC (a wholly-owned subsidiary of PJSC LUKOIL), will conduct highly accurate scientific research for prospecting, exploration, development and oil recovery enhancement at the fields of Volga-Ural and Timan-Pechora oil and gas provinces, Caspian and Baltic Seas, as well as LUKOIL Group projects in other regions.
The specialists of the Centre have unique expertise in laboratory analysis of complex reservoir robbing core, oil source rocks, poorly cemented core, decarbonization and oil recovery enhancement methods. The one-of-its-kind scientific laboratory complex in Russia features state-of-the-art equipment and a core repository with enough space to store over 300 thousand linear kilometres of core samples.
The Centre shares its territory with Perm National Research Polytechnic University and the Research and Education Centre for Sustainable Management of Resources. This allows conducting joint research, offering courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students, organizing workshops at the integrated scientific cluster.
