LUKOIL ACQUIRED FUEL SERVICE COMPLEX IN CHELYABINSK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

OOO LUKOIL-AERO (100% subsidiary of LUKOIL) acquired a fuel service complex Balandino in the Chelyabinsk international airport from OAO Aviakompania “Sibir”.
The fuel service complex comprises a two-sided cargo pier designed for simultaneous discharge of 10 tank-wagons and 10 vertical tanks with total capacity of 14,000 m3. Annual volume of the serviced fuel is around 40,000 tons.
In the near future OOO LUKOIL-AERO schedules to upgrade the fuel & lubricants storage facility of the complex.
Currently OOO LUKOIL-AERO refuels the aircrafts through its own fuel service chain in the airports of Nizhny Novgorod, Perm, Volgograd, Tumen and Chelyabinsk.
In 2005, OOO LUKOIL-AERO refueled “into the wing” about 100,000 tons of air kerosene including JETA-1.
Development of the air fuel business is covered by the LUKOIL Group Strategic Development Program and provides for enlargement of the air fuel marketing and creation of an advanced chain of own fuel service complexes in Russian airports and abroad.
