LUKOIL AND KALININGRAD DISCUSS COOPERATION PLANS

President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and Acting Governor of Kaliningrad Region Anton Alikhanov held a meeting, in Kaliningrad today. The parties discussed LUKOIL's regional development plans, including offshore projects in the Baltic Sea, and also cooperation on social initiatives.
In 2015, LUKOIL discovered four offshore oil fields in the Baltic Sea: D29, D33, D6-South and D41. The Government of the Russian Federation issued a decree in 2016, granting the right to use these subsoil areas of federal significance to LUKOIL-Kaliningradmorneft, LUKOIL's wholly owned subsidiary. The company intends to continue geological surveys of the Baltic Sea resources in 2017.
LUKOIL is actively involved in social programs in Kaliningrad Region. Among the key areas are: bids for social and cultural projects, support of the regional program for the development of local healthcare stations in rural areas and construction of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in the city of Kaliningrad.
