LUKOIL AND PUSHKIN STATE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS PRESENT A NEW EXHIBITION PROJECT

The exhibition Great Russian Victories Imprinted in Medals and Engravings. 300th Anniversary of theBattle of Poltava was opened today at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts supported by OAO LUKOIL.
The medals of the 18 th and 19 th centuries dedicated to the Great Northern War of 1700-1721 will be exhibited for the first time.
About 250 medals cast in bronze, silver and gold by famous medalists during the reign of Peter the Great (1672-1725) constitute a separate section of the Russian numismatic collection owned by the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. The medal exposition is complemented with about 20 colored and black-and-white engravings based on the drawings by the outstanding painters of the 18th century, namely, A. Shkhonebek, P. Pikart, A. Zubov, etc. The exhibition will be open to the public until September 15, 2009.
LUKOIL and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts maintain long-standing partnership relations. Previously the Company acquired the piece Evening café by the Spanish impressionist Hermenegildo Anglada Camarasa and donated it to the Museum. Restoration works at the Art Gallery of the European and American countries of the 19-20th centuries were performed with the Company's financial support. LUKOIL also participated in establishing the Center of Aesthetic Education for Children and Youth at the Museum.
