LUKOIL AND VOLGOGRAD REGION SIGN COOPERATION AGREEMENT FOR 2018 - 2022

President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and Governor of Volgograd Region Andrey Bocharov signed a Social and Economic Cooperation Agreement for 2018 – 2022, in Volgograd today.
The agreement provides for the company's support of the fuel-and-energy infrastructure projects in Volgograd Region, and also for the parties' cooperation in geological exploration, production, refining of hydrocarbons, generation and supplies of thermal and electric power, manufacture and supply of oilfield equipment, engineering and shipbuilding products, petroleum products, research and development support for new technologies in both the fuel-and-energy complex and other economic sectors.
The parties agreed to take joint actions to create an environment facilitating better living standards and to evolve initiatives fostering feedback and inclusiveness of local communities in various social initiatives.
Previous agreements improved the region's social infrastructure and allowed the reconstruction of a water-supply intake in Kotovo district, the renovation of a central hospital and two kindergartens in Frolovo district, the reconstruction of a fountain, the Art, at an embankment in the center of Volgograd. Several districts of Volgograd Region received support for redevelopment of cultural facilities, sports and health centers and the construction of motor roads.
Vagit Alekperov and Andrey Bocharov visited the construction site of a photovoltaic solar-power plant at the company's refinery in Volgograd and took part in the award ceremony of LUKOIL's 13th Contest of Social and Cultural Projects of Volgograd Region, which broke the record of previous contests in terms of submitted bids. Sixty-eight projects out of 470 contesting for the company's grants were announced winners.
