LUKOIL AND VOLGOGRAD REGION TO DEVELOP PARTNERSHIP

Andrey Bocharov, Governor of Volgograd Region, and Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL, signed the minutes to the Cooperation Agreement between the local administration and the Company. The document defines main areas of social cooperation in the region.
Andrey Bocharov and Vagit Alekperov also took part in a working conference and reviewed prospects for developing the local resource base, which included implementation of its exploration program, search for objects at already developed areas, and opportunities for LUKOIL to acquire new licensing areas in the region.
LUKOIL has been operating in the Volgograd region since 1991. The company implements industrial, environmental and charity projects in the region. In the last few years, LUKOIL supported realization of a number of projects, such as construction of the interactive museum “Russia. My history”, reconstruction of the Center for children and young people and the Trud stadium in Volgograd. LUKOIL's Social and Cultural Projects Competition is held in the Volgograd region every year.
