LUKOIL AND YAMAL-NENETS DISTRICT TO CONTINUE COOPERATION

President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and the Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District, Dmitry Kobylkin, signed a Supplement Agreement on Cooperation for 2018, in Salekhard today. The funds, allocated by the company under the agreement, will be used for social and economic development of local municipalities, construction of sports facilities, support of agricultural companies and of non-governmental organizations.
Thus, LUKOIL will continue to support construction of a multi-purpose sports facility with a swimming-pool in the village of Tazovsky. The company will also provide financial assistance to the Yamineh Charity Fund arranging medical treatment and rehabilitation for seriously ill children, to the Shuryshkary Development Fund in acquiring and assembling a modular building for procurement of reindeer products in the village of Pitlyar, as well as to the Citizens' Initiatives Promotion Center, a regional NGO implementing a voluntary environmental project, Future of the Arctic Region.
LUKOIL is committed to continuous support of the region's light and ultralight aviation and sports, including judo, ice hockey and volleyball. The Supplementary Agreement also provides for financial support of various undertakings initiated by the Yamal Regional Innovation and Investment Fund, the All-Russia Non-Profit Association of Indigenous Groups of the North, Siberia and the Far East, the Yamal Cooperation Fund, the Yamal Municipalities Council and the Yamal War Veterans Non-Profit Association.
Vagit Alekperov and Dmitry Kobylkin also held a press-conference and a meeting with employees of a LUKOIL-West Siberia subsidiary, Yamalneftegaz.
