LUKOIL CEO AND UZBEKISTAN PRESIDENT DISCUSS IMPLEMENTATION OF JOINT PROJECTS

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Merziyoyev received President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov, in Tashkent today. They discussed implementation of LUKOIL's current projects in Uzbekistan and prospects for broader cooperation. Special attention was paid to progress in the construction of a gas-processing works in Kandym and to the implementation of the project dubbed Full Development of Gissar.
In the beginning of this year, implementation of Full Development of Gissar entered the homestretch. It is planned to commission the second production line of a complex gas treatment plant, Dzharkuduk, which will allow to raise production to the proper design level.
LUKOIL is the biggest foreign investor in Uzbekistan. The overall volume of production at fields under LUKOIL's management there exceeds 40 billion cubic meters of gas.
Production of natural gas under the South-Western Gissar project began in December of 2011. The accumulated production of gas for the whole of Gissar field has exceeded 7 billion cubic meters.
