LUKOIL will allocate funds to construct a number of infrastructure facilities in the region, including an open sports complex in the Ikryaninsky municipality, as well as provide equipment for day-care centres in the Kharabalinsky municipality, and reconstruct a school in the Limansky municipality. The Company will also continue to support the Zarya Kaspiya regional handball training centre and organize its traditional social and culture projects contest.
Vagit Alekperov visited an Astrakhan shipyard, where the topside facilities of the fixed ice-resistant platform and accommodation block for the Valery Grayfer field are assembled. The facilities are in preparation to be put to the Caspian Sea and installed on the platform jacket. There will be a footbridge between the facilities.
The Valery Grayfer field was discovered in 2001. It is located 160 kilometres offshore Astrakhan. Production at the field is expected to plateau at 1.2 million tonnes of oil per year.
