Vladimir Osipov, Head of Office of the RF President on State Awards, and Vagit Alekperov, OAO LUKOIL President, granted merited awards to the heads and employees of LUKOIL Group for their great contributions to the development of the fuel-and-energy complex of Russia, and of the company, and also to honor their long and conscientious work.

Andrey Kuku, CEO of LUKOIL Serbia and Head of the Balkan Interregional Department, was awarded the Order of Friendship; Vladimir Vasilyev, OAO LUKOIL Vice President for Taxes, and Vladimir Dmitriev, General Director of LUKOIL-Tsentrnefteprodukt, were awarded Medals of the Order "For Service to the Motherland, Second Class”; and Ilshat Davletov and Sergey Shesterikov, employees of LUKOIL-West Siberia, were granted the titles of the “Honored Worker of the Oil and Gas Industry of the Russian Federation”. Thirteen other employees were also granted honorary titles by the Ministry of Energy, certificates of merit and letters of acknowledgment from the company.

“The coming 70th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War makes the awards ceremony especially festive this year. The victory is the great deed of the Soviet Army soldiers and war workers who defended the freedom and independence of our motherland and saved the world from fascism. The Soviet oilmen made an invaluable contribution to this noble cause. Today’s awards to LUKOIL employees are yet another testament to the strong professional qualifications and superior value of the workers of the energy industry”, Vladimir Osipov noted.

“The great men of our nation who gave their lives will forever live in the hearts of those who have a sense of responsibility for the preservation of our country’s history and respect for its heroic past. Today, the company supports more than 2,000 veterans of the Great Patriotic War and war workers who formerly were employees of LUKOIL Group”, Mr. Alekperov commented.
