Monday, December 20, 2021
PJSC LUKOIL, together with the concession holder for the head section of the M11 "Neva" highway – North-West Concession Company LLC (NWCC) – and with support of Russia Highways State Company (Avtodor), commissioned pioneer filling stations at the Moscow – Saint Petersburg autoroute. The grand opening was attended by Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL, Marcel Vial, member of the Board of Directors of NWCC, Lortiua Gilan, Director General of NWCC, and Vyacheslav Petushenko, Chairman of the Management Board of Avtodor State Company.
These multifunction filling stations, located at the 23rd km along the road towards Sheremetyevo airport and on the way back towards Moscow, were built under the agreement on creating road infrastructure and improving quality of service for road users.
The filling stations feature bigger sitting zones and new interior design, as well as the self-service system that allows customers to not only pay for fuel and goods from the station shop, but also order dishes from the café, no assistance required. LUKOIL also introduced a wireless Beeper system to notify clients remotely that their orders are ready.
Moreover, the adjacent territory features workout zones, children playgrounds, picnic areas, and a summer café, as well as parkings for cars, trucks, and buses.
The roadway paving used at the filling stations is especially durable and resistant, as it is made of rubber-bituminous concretes developed by LUKOIL specialists. Lifetime of these materials amounts to 12 years, which is much longer than that of a typical bituminous concrete.
The filling stations were commissioned under LUKOIL's programme of renewing its retail network, expanding the number of services and non-fuel goods provided to the customers. The programme aims at improving the standards of service to create friendly environment for LUKOIL's clients.
LUKOIL had earlier opened 4 multifunction filling stations at the M-11 highway, at the road section between the cities of Tver and Saint Petersburg. In total, the Company reconstructed 64 filling complexes in Moscow and the Moscow region in 2020 and 2021.
