Tuesday, April 11, 2017
A landscape-gardening event, timed to coincide with the Year of Ecology in Russia, took place at LUKOIL’s initiative in Sochi, today. Students of the Sirius Educational Center and LUKOIL Group’s younger employees planted olive trees on the territory of an ornithological reserve in the Imereti lowlands. The olive- grove groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister for Social Issues Olga Golodets, Governor of the Krasnodar Region Veniamin Kondratyev, Mayor of Sochi Anatoly Pakhomov and Vice President of LUKOIL for Human Resources Management and Security Anatoly Moskalenko.
Environmental protection has always been a priority for LUKOIL. The
company plants trees on a regular basis in the regions where it operates.
LUKOIL was Russia’s first company to begin publishing regular reports on
corporate social responsibility, environmental protection and industrial safety,
as well as to apply state-of-the-art technologies for environmental protection in
the process of hydrocarbon production and refining.
