LUKOIL OPENS A BITUMEN PRODUCTS LOADING TERMINAL IN THE CITY OF KSTOVO

LUKOIL opened a new terminal for the loading of bitumen products in Kstovo today. The opening ceremony was attended by LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov and a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region Evgeniy Lyulin.
The terminal, taking up more than 13 thousand square meters, allows to load up to 200 bitumen carriers a day. The facility offers an electronic queuing system, a vehicle examination area, a parking lot equipped with information displays, an automated weighing station, and a logistics centre.
The new logistics centre is highly digitised. This ensures timely dispatching of bitumen shipments and increases logistics efficiency thanks to faster processing procedures.
LUKOIL manufactures more than 40 types of bitumen materials. The company provides its partners with innovative products and service solutions, closely cooperates with road-building majors and Russian regions. Using LUKOIL's bitumen products extends lifespan of road surfacing.
"About a year ago, LUKOIL commissioned Russia's biggest Research Centre for the Development of Bituminous Materials in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Today we are opening a new loading terminal. This confirms our commitment to further develop bitumen production. We focus on manufacturing high-tech and high-quality products, as well as on organising logistics in the most efficient way. Given current circumstances, when not only service quickness and efficiency, but also health consciousness are of paramount importance, LUKOIL's engineering solutions put in place all the necessary arrangements for social distancing, comfort and safety of employees and drivers," said LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov at the opening ceremony.

It also provides for mastering new technical expertise and a rise in production capabilities of the region," told Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Gleb Nikitin to the journalists at the press conference.
