LUKOIL RE-EQUIPS DIESEL FUEL HYDROTREATMENT UNIT IN PERM
Friday, November 22, 2013
LUKOIL has commissioned a diesel-fuel hydrotreatment unit at the Perm refinery, re-equipped as part of the quadripartite agreement signed in July of 2011 by the company, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, Rostekhnadzor (Russian Federal Service for Ecological, Technical and Atomic Supervision) and Rosstandart (Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology).
As a result of the technical re-equipment, the unit will increase the output of Euro 5 ULSD (ultra low sulfur diesel) fuel by 325,000 tons per year. In addition, the specific energy intensity of the hydrotreatment process has been considerably reduced, which enhances the production efficiency.
The expected 2014 ULSD fuel output at the Perm refinery is to exceed 4 million tons following the technical re-equipment.
