LUKOIL SELECTS CONTRACTORS FOR SECOND CONSTRUCTION STAGE AT VLADIMIR FILANOVSKY FIELD

LUKOIL has announced a bidding procedure for contractors to conduct construction operations as part of the second stage at Vladimir Filanovsky field located in the Caspian Sea.
The bidding documentation provides for construction of an ice-resistant stationary platform (IRP-2), living quarters platform (LQP-2), and a 60-m catwalk bridge.
The IRP-2 drilling complex shall be employed to drill a pad consisting of 15 directional wells with a horizontal borehole ending, including nine production wells and six injectors. The LQP-2 shall accommodate 55 persons and include a helicopter pad.
The IRP-2 shall be connected to the riser block mounted during the first construction stage at Vladmir Filanovsky field, via a 6-km multiphase subsea pipeline.
IRP-2 and LQP-2 are to be commissioned in autumn 2016, while hydrocarbon production as part of the second stage of Vladimir Filanovsky field is to begin in 2017.
