Wednesday, September 28, 2005
LUKOIL-AERO, a 100% LUKOIL subsidiary, has begun filling airplanes at Bolshoye Savino international airport located in Perm. It is planned to start filling international aircraft with Jet A-1 fuel in Perm very soon.
The development of air-bunkering business is stipulated by the LUKOIL Group Strategic Development Program. Enhanced presence in the jet fuel sales market and establishment of a well-developed proprietary bunker station network at the airports across Russia and abroad are the basics of the Air-bunkering Development Concept.
As of today, LUKOIL is Russia’s only oil company producing Jet A-1 fuel that meets International Air Transport Association standards. LUKOIL was the first among Russian oil companies to fill a Lufthansa aircraft in April 2004 with Jet A-1 fuel produced by LUKOIL-Nizhegorodnefteorgsyntez refinery.
