LUKOIL STARTS WIND MONITORING IN KALMYKIA

PJSC LUKOIL started to perform wind monitoring, which is the first stage of developing feasibility study for constructing a wind power plant at the Caspian Sea coast near Artesian settlement, Republic of Kalmykia (the Artesian WPP).
The wind monitoring is carried out in compliance with international standards. The observation will continue until the end of 2022 and allow to determine exact wind power potential of the region. The first studies suggest great potential of the project.
Based on the findings of the monitoring, the Company may decide to build a wind farm in Kalmykia to generate energy for own needs.
LUKOIL actively develops its renewable energy projects, thus reducing its controllable GHG emissions every year.
