LUKOIL’S ENGINEERING AND RESEARCH SUBSIDIARY TOPS OPINION POLL

According to an opinion poll, conducted among consumers of products and services for oil refining and gas processing companies, LUKOIL's wholly owned oil and gas projects research and development center, LUKOIL-Nizhegorodniinefteproyekt, hereinafter R&D center, headed the list as the best provider of engineering and project development services.
Covering Russia's fuel and energy majors, producers of petrochemical products, gas processing plants and electric power generating subsidiaries of vertically integrated oil companies, the survey was held to rate best companies and manufacturers, providing engineering services and equipment to upgrade oil refineries and gas processing plants. The results of the poll, featuring twenty-five companies in thirteen categories, were announced at the ninth annual conference: Oil Refining and Gas Processing – 2019: Upgrading Oil Refining and Gas Processing Capacities.
R&D center, being LUKOIL Group's general engineering and design contractor of the company's downstream, is working on a number of challenging projects. For instance, it develops design packages for a residue conversion complex, a new generation unit for production of bitumen and a polypropylene production facility at LUKOIL's refinery in Kstovo, treatment of associated gas at the Kharyaginskoye field for LUKOIL-Komi, production of LPG-based eco-friendly fuels at the company's refinery in Ukhta. R&D center is also contracted for the acceptance of front-end engineering and design packages for a gas chemical facility at Stavrolen petrochemical plant and catalytic cracking unit design for LUKOIL's refinery in Perm.
The R&D center works in almost every region of Russia, where LUKOIL operates, and is engaged in LUKOIL's projects in Bulgaria, Romania, Uzbekistan, Iraq. Сontracted by many Russian companies, the center develops around one hundred designs in refining, petrochemistry and gas processing to the approval of Russia's state expert review agency, and delivers up to ten turn-key investment projects annually.
