LUKOIL’S POWER GENERATION FACILITIES CERTIFIED FOR AUTUMN AND WINTER OPERATION

Certificates were issued for 10 power generation plants of LUKOIL Group to attest their readiness for operation in the autumn and winter of 2017 – 2018. A commission comprised of experts from Russia's Ministry of Energy, the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision, Ministry for Emergency Response and regional authorities checked LUKOIL's power generation facilities for their operational readiness under winter peak loads.
Winterization campaign included major overhauls and maintenance of basic facilities and auxiliary equipment, integrity tests of main heating systems and employment of trained and certified personnel. In total, LUKOIL performed 1 397 winterization actions to ensure both reliable commercial heat and power generation and uninterrupted supplies of electricity to the company's production and refining facilities.
The certificate of operational readiness guarantees compliance of power generation equipment with technical requirements and availability of capacities for reliable and continuous supplies of power and heat to consumers.
