PLENIPOTENTIARY OF RF PRESIDENT IN URALS FEDERAL DISTRICT VISITS LUKOIL’S FACILITIES IN WESTERN SIBERIA

Nikolay Vinnichenko, Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Urals Federal District, visited production and social facilities of OOO LUKOIL-Western Siberia (a wholly-owned subsidiary of OAO LUKOIL) in the cities of Kogalym and Langepas (Khanti-Mansi Autonomous District-Yugra) today.
Nikolay Vinnichenko inspected a 72 MW gas-turbine power station commissioned in 2008 at Vat-Yeganskoye field. It is LUKOIL’s first self-generating facility of the two located in Western Siberia. The Plenipotentiary also visited new residential buildings located in left-bank Kogalym and a number of other social facilities of the city.
In Langepas, the Plenipotentiary participated in an opening ceremony of a football playground and a maternity ward of the city hospital equipped with modern medical devices. These facilities were constructed within the framework of the cooperation agreement between LUKOIL and the government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra.
Nikolay Vinnichenko also participated in the signing ceremony of a supplement agreement between the Company and the government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra, providing for a threefold increase in the financing of joint activities aimed at social and economic development of the district. Thus, in 2009 LUKOIL intends to allocate about RUR 1 billion for these purposes.
The agreement was signed by Vagit Alekperov, President of OAO LUKOIL, and Alexander Filipenko, Governor and Head of the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District – Yugra.
