PRESIDENT OF LUKOIL CHARITY FUND DECORATED FOR BENEFICENCE

Today in the Kremlin Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, has conferred a decoration, For Beneficence, on Nelly Alekperova, President of the LUKOIL Charity Fund, for her substantial contribution to charitable and public activities.
Previously, the decoration, introduced in 2012, had been granted only 13 times.
The LUKOIL Charity Fund was established in 1993. The fund’s charitable contributions in the social sphere are focused on support, in regions of the Russian Federation, of educational, health and religious institutions, museums, theaters, creative and sports teams, orphanages and children’s educational institutions, veterans of war and labor. Specifically, for many years the fund has been working closely with the Tchaikovsky Grand Orchestra, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Museums of Moscow Kremlin, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, the State Russian Museum and the State Historical Museum.
