LUKOIL completed post-accident damage control on the Kolva River after the oil-containing fluids leak from a non-functioning pipeline at the Kharyaginskoye field. Final clean-up operations took place at the accident site and downstream from it.
There are no traces of oil products on the water surface and coastline. The riverside was completely cleared of contaminating agents in the area close to the faulty pipeline. Its biological rehabilitation is set for the warmer season next year. Personnel and equipment that were involved in the clean-up operations both in the Nenets Autonomous District and in the Republic of Komi got demobilised.
