RUSSIA MINISTER OF ENERGY VISITS OFFSHORE PLATFORM AT VLADIMIR FILANOVSKY FIELD

Alexander Novak, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL, and Igor Babushkin, Governor of Astrakhan Region, visited an offshore ice-resistant fixed complex, OIFC (Russian: MLSK-1), at Vladimir Filanovsky field, in the Caspian Sea today.
The guests were able to observe the complete process flow at the platform, beginning from hydrocarbon production all the way to the transportation of finished products. In future, the MLSK-1 infrastructure will serve to develop the infrastructure of other Caspian fields.
The company is also taking an active part in developing the social infrastructure in Astrakhan Region. Among other things, LUKOIL has contributed to the construction of a kindergarten in the region, a of tourist-and-exhibition center and a park, named Petrovsky, in the Astrakhan Kremlin. The fitting of the Astrakhan State Philharmonic Hall with equipment is under way. In 2017, the company sponsored the construction of a Memorial Arch and of a monument to frontier guards in Astrakhan. The same year, an Orthodox church was erected in the settlement of Liman.
In 2018, under an agreement with the regional administration, the official opening of a renovated sports center in the settlement of Ilyinka, Astrakhan Region, and of a children's center, Crimson Sails, in the town of Kharabali, Astrakhan Region, took place. The renovation of a culture-and-arts center in Liman and of a community center in Ilyinka is now over, while the reconstruction of an embankment of the Zelenaya River is still under way.
