SOLAR POWER PLANT INSTALLED AT LUKOIL HEADQUARTERS

PJSC LUKOIL keeps developing its sustainability activities. A green power generation facility was set up at the viewpoint of the Company's Moscow headquarters. It is an on-grid 41 MW solar power plant (SPP).

The SPP occupies an area of over 280 square metres and includes 156 Russia-made photovoltaic modules that are set to make up a red-and-white LUKOIL logo. Thanks to this design, the project is one-of-a-kind not only in Russia, but also in the world.

The power generated by the SPP is transmitted to the internal electrical grid. Power output is expected to reach peak levels from April through September. Besides lowering the cost of building upkeep, the SPP will prevent greenhouse gas emission of 12 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year.

12/05/2023 - LUKOIL COMMISSIONS THE SECOND STAGE OF KOLSKAYA WIND POWER PLANT

The second stage of the Kolskaya wind power plant (WPP), which is world's most powerful wind farm beyond the Arctic Circle, was launched today. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, Governor of the Murmansk region Andrey Chibis and Chief Executive Officer of PJSC LUKOIL Vadim Vorobyov took part in the launch ceremony.​

17/02/2022 - LUKOIL INCREASES USE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY FOR OWN NEEDS

LUKOIL began supplying power to its Nizhny Novgorod refinery from the its solar power plant located at the Volgograd refinery. The use of renewable power generation will enable the Nizhny Novgorod refinery to reduce carbon footprint of its products with expected reduction of indirect emissions by around 10 thousand tonnes of СО2 equivalent per year.​
