THIRD INTERNATIONAL SPARTAKIADA GAMES OF OAO LUKOIL HELD IN KALINIGRAD

Final competitions of the Third International Spartakiada Games of OAO LUKOIL were held in Kaliningrad under the motto: For physical and moral health of the nation.
About 25 thousand employees of LUKOIL from all regions of the Company’s operations participated in the qualifying rounds of the third Spartakiada. The teams were formed on the territorial basis. The Spartakiada program included soccer, volleyball, swimming, track-and-field athletics, chess, billiards, arm wrestling, tennis, ping-pong, weight lifting and tug of war competitions.
The first two Spartakiada games of LUKOIL were held in Astrakhan in 2001 and in Perm in 2003. The next – Forth Spartakiada of the Company will take place in Kogalym.
The Company's Spartakiada movement met support of the Olympic Committee of Russia and the Federal Agency for Physical Fitness and Sports of the Russian Federation.

In order to coordinate sports activities, the Company established in 1998 the Sports Club of LUKOIL which is active in three key areas: sports and health events for the Company’s employees and their families, support of professional sports teams and promotion of developing sports for children in Russia.
The company supports the LUKOIL Racing Team, the LUKOIL cinder-path speedway team, the Volgograd water-polo team, The Astrakhan LUKOIL-Dinamo and the women's national team for ski races.
Since the year 2000, LUKOIL has been the general sponsor of the Spartak-Moscow soccer club. The Company supports the Baltika Kaliningrad soccer club and the Children's Soccer League.
OAO LUKOIL is the Official Partner of the Russian Olympic Committee.
