VAGIT ALEKPEROV AND ALEKSEY MILLER DISCUSSED LUKOIL AND GAZPROM COOPERATION PROSPECTS

Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL, and Aleksey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, held a meeting today in Moscow.
In the course of the meeting, the parties discussed their current and future cooperation in the gas sector, as well as the ongoing preparations for setting up a joint venture to develop the Vaneyvisskoye and Layavozhskoye fields.
LUKOIL and Gazprom are bound by the 2014 – 2024 General Agreement on Strategic Partnership, under which LUKOIL supplies gas into Gazprom’s gas transportation system.
In 2015, Gazprom’s Sosnogorsk gas processing plant started to receive associated petroleum gas from the northern group of fields developed by LUKOIL-Komi.
In 2018, LUKOIL and Gazprom signed an Agreement providing for their joint development of the Vaneyvisskoye and Layavozhskoye fields in the Nenets Autonomous District. The document defines general terms and procedure for establishing a joint venture on a parity basis as part of the project.
