VISIT PAID TO RUSSIAN ORTHODOX SECONDARY SCHOOL IN NIZHNY NOVGOROD

Vagit Alekperov, OAO LUKOIL President, and Mikhail Babich, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District, visited Nizhny Novgorod’s Russian orthodox secondary school named after the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky.
The main school building had been reconstructed with LUKOIL’s support, and on September 1, 2014, the school opened its doors to the first students. By now, the first stage of the primary general education has been developed, and students from the 1st to the 4th grade are admitted.
For their contribution to the recovery project of the system of orthodox secondary schools in the region, Messrs. Alekperov and Babich were awarded with the medals of the Holy Blessed Prince Georgy Vsevolodovich, 3rd degree, instituted by the Nizhny Novgorod and Arzamas Eparchy of the Russian Orthodox Church.
