WINNERS OF THE SOCIAL AND CULTURAL PROJECTS COMPETITION ARE DETERMINED IN SAMARA

President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and Governor of the Samara Region Nikolay Merkushkin participated in a festive awards ceremony held in Samara today to mark the winners of LUKOIL's Third Social and Cultural Projects Competition.
This year, the commission received 409 applications. Seventy-four projects won in various nominations of the contest with grant funding of RUB 15 million.
Given that 2017 was declared the Year of Ecology in Russia, the spotlight was on environmental stewardship projects. Among eco-projects presented at the contest were the following: landscaping and cleaning of parks, river banks, lakes, brooks and holy springs, as well as parkland organization; purchasing of seedlings for school gardens and weather station equipment. Twenty-one projects won in this nomination.
