The ceremony of presenting ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) certificates to OAO LUKOIL management will be held at 6:00 p.m. in Moscow today. The certificates will be delivered by Mr. Frank Piedelievre, President of an international company, Bureau Veritas, which was involved in conformity assessment of the company over the period of 7 months.

At the end of last week LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov paid a working visit to the USA during which he met with Getty Petroleum Marketing Inc.'s (GPM) personnel.

The Board of Directors of OAO LUKOIL convened in Moscow today to discuss operating, financial and business performance of the Company in 2000 and outline objectives for its performance in 2001.

Today in Baku (Azerbaijan) President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic Natik Aliyev signed an agreement on rehabilitation, prospecting and production sharing (50%-50%) of the oil block including the Zykh and Govsany fields.
