LUKOIL is oriented toward development of "green" power generation in the regions of its presence with suitable climate conditions and effective RPS support programs.
The goal of the Company as far as renewable energy goes, is to boost competitiveness of the LUKOIL Group through RPS projects designed to generate "green" power. Key tasks comprise:
completion of commercial RPS projects, including without limitation as part of governmental support schemes;
reduced greenhouse gas emissions;
synergies from the construction of RPS facilities by the Upstream and Downstream entities.
Execution of RPS projects covers two aspects, i.e.:
meeting in-house needs from the LUKOIL Group entities;
power generation and supply to the grid.
