Vagit Alekperov, OAO LUKOIL President, visited Budennovsk today and together with Vladimir Vladimirov, acting Governor of the Stavropol Territory, launched construction of a sports and fitness center for 600 people. The complex will include a synthetic-ice skating rink, several swimming pools, a multi-purpose sports hall and a training and rehabilitation center. The construction will be conducted as part of the Cooperation Agreement between the Stavropol Territory Government and OAO LUKOIL.

A festive ceremony dedicated to the opening of the INTESMO lubricant manufacturing plant, a joint venture of OOO LLC-International (a wholly-owned LUKOIL subsidiary) and OAO Rossiyskiye Zhelezniye Dorogi (Russian Railways), took place today in Volgograd. Vagit Alekperov, LUKOIL’s President, and Valentin Gapanovich, Senior Vice President for Innovative Development attended the ceremony.

Vadim Vorobyev, OAO LUKOIL Vice-President for Coordination of Petroleum Product Sales, Vladimir Dmitriev, General Director of ООО LUKOIL-Tsentrnefteprodukt, Alexander Dolgikh, General Director of ООО LICARD, and Roman Ivanov, Director of the Mercedes-Benz Dealership of ООО LUKOIL-Tsentrnefteprodukt, presented prizes to the winners of the campaign titled “Flight to MMArS with LUKOIL”. The awards ceremony was held today at LUKOIL’s exhibition stand of the Moscow International Automobile Salon, MIAS-2014 (in Russian, the acronym for the event, MMAC, sounds like planet Mars).

LUKOIL has begun transporting topsides for the riser block from Astrakhan to the Vladimir Filanovsky field, which is being developed by the Company in the Caspian Sea.

Beginning September 3, LUKOIL is supporting an exhibition titled “Charles Rennie Mackintosh: a New Style Manifesto” in the Moscow Kremlin Museums. It is an integral part of the official program of the UK/Russia Year of Culture and for the first time presents the artistic legacy of the great Scottish architect, painter and designer in Russia.
